I'd like to announce the start of the Summer 2012 Design-A-Ship Challenge. It will begin today, run for nine days and end Tues July 17 at midnight EST. The challenge is pretty simple. The ship you see in the creation here was made with a certain set of parts. The challenge is to make a new ship using some of the same parts. You can see the parts you have to use in the creation called “Design-A-Ship Challenge Part II” The rules also are pretty simple: You can add parts, resize parts, reshape parts, and recolor parts, but you CANNOT take any parts away and you cannot use any cheats. You can make as many ships as you like. Please keep the tag, ‘DASCSummer2012' so I can find the ships you make for the contest. All the ships you make will be added to my contest sporecast called “Summer Design-a-Ship Challenge.” First, second, and third prizes will be given out, and several special prizes as well. I don't use the forum very much at all anymore, so I won't be putting up any post there about the challenge. I've ran several of these challenges since spore came out and the competition is always pretty fierce. If you want to enter and plan to win, be sure to also plan to make the best ships you've ever created :)) I’ll be posting regular updates as the challenge progresses, so keep an eye out for them.
