Description
The Mantis class ODD (orbital defense drone) is a highly advanced piece of tech. Equipped with AAI that can predict the opponent’s moves before they are made, this gives it an edge against biological pilots. It is perfectly adept for low orbit operation; it thrives in this airless low gravity environment. Quite large for a drone it is somewhere between a fighter and corvette, this makes it quite adaptable in combat and allows for it to have better protection. Armament consists of two heavy rapid fire gauss cannons and a “blade” system (which allows it to make Mantis shaped holes in enemy ships as well as tear fighters apart). This defensive system has proven more than effective in any possible situation, and is used heavily to this day.
